Emergency Dentistry Near You

Dental emergencies can happen without warning and may cause pain, swelling, bleeding, or damage to the teeth and gums. Getting dental care as soon as possible can help relieve discomfort and prevent the problem from worsening. Common dental emergencies include severe toothaches, broken teeth, knocked-out teeth, dental infections, and injuries affecting the mouth. At Greystone Dental, we provide emergency dentistry in Chilliwack for patients who need prompt treatment for urgent dental concerns.

Treatment is recommended based on the type of emergency, the affected area, and your oral health needs. If you are considering emergency dentistry near you, our team can assess the problem and discuss suitable treatment options.

What Is Emergency Dentistry

Emergency dentistry involves the diagnosis and treatment of dental problems that need immediate attention. These situations may involve pain, infection, injury, swelling, or damage that should not wait until a regular dental appointment.

Emergency dental care may be recommended for:

  • Severe toothaches
  • Broken or chipped teeth
  • Knocked-out teeth
  • Dental infections
  • Swelling of the gums or face
  • Lost fillings, crowns, or restorations

We provide emergency dentistry in Chilliwack to help patients receive timely care when unexpected dental problems arise.

What Happens During An Emergency Dental Visit

An emergency dental visit begins with an examination of the affected area to determine the cause of the problem and the treatment required. Depending on the situation, digital X-rays may also be recommended to evaluate the teeth, roots, bone, or surrounding structures.

Treatment may vary based on the dental emergency and may focus on relieving pain, addressing infection, repairing damage, or protecting the affected tooth.

Emergency dental treatment may help with:

  • Dental pain
  • Swelling and infection
  • Broken or damaged teeth
  • Dental injuries
  • Lost restorations
  • Unexpected oral health concerns

Our dentist in Chilliwack will assess the emergency carefully and discuss available treatment options based on your needs.

What To Expect During An Emergency Dentistry Consultation

When you arrive for an emergency appointment, the dental team will gather information about your symptoms, when the problem started, and any recent injury or dental concern that may be related to the emergency.

You may also discuss symptoms such as tooth pain, swelling, bleeding, sensitivity, difficulty chewing, or discomfort affecting the teeth and gums. If you are considering emergency dentistry near you, seeking care as soon as possible may help prevent the condition from worsening.

Caring For Your Oral Health After Emergency Treatment

The recommendations provided after emergency treatment will depend on the type of dental concern being treated. Following aftercare instructions can help support healing and protect the treated area.

Patients may be asked to:

  • Follow the post-treatment instructions
  • Maintain consistent oral hygiene practices
  • Attend dental appointments as needed
  • Report any unusual changes

Regular visits to a dentist near you can help monitor healing and maintain your oral health while allowing the dental team to address any concerns early.
